A unique chance to admire the painting ``Canaletto delle Corti Europee`` and discover Conegliano and all that the Marca Trevigiana has to offer, its flavours, art and shopping.
In the wake of the resounding success of the Cima da Conegliano exhibition, the rooms of the sixteenth-century Palazzo Sarcinelli in the heart of Conegliano will host the works of BERNARDO BELLOTTO (1721-1780), one of the most renowned masters of Venetian landscape painting, and nephew of Canaletto,
from 11th November 2011 to 15th April 2012
This is yet another exhibition in and for the Treviso area, which brings a Veneto painter back to the Veneto, aiming to share not only his masterpieces, but also the wonders of a renowned region, celebrated for its excellent food and wine, as well as its fine art and culture, just a few short steps from Venice.
Treviso offers the complete holiday experience, filled with small pleasures for each and every sense, a chance for cultural exploration deep in a land where hospitality comes naturally. Public and private loans have made it possible to show some forty pieces, covering the Venetian painter`s complete creative journey, with crucial steps in his career, from the landscape paintings of Venice and other Italian cities - Florence, Lucca, Rome, Milan, Turin and Verona - to those of other European capitals: Dresden, Viena, Munich and Warsaw.
